Crowns, Caps, Veneers, with Cerec OmniCam
No Messy Impressions.
ONE EASY APPOINTMENT.
Cerec is an advanced dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. It can create full crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers and the Cerec machine crafts these compressed porcelain restorations in a matter of minutes. One of the great features of receiving a Cerec restoration is that it is accomplished in one visit. In addition to the benefit of a one visit restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression material to bite on or temporary to wear. Advantage Dental Care is a Cerec office.
WHAT IS A CROWN?
Crowns are cosmetic restorations to strengthen teeth or improve shape. Crowns are typically placed on teeth that are broken, worn, or decayed. They can be made from materials such as gold or porcelain. Crowns are used when a tooth is damaged to severely to be able to retain a filling and can be made as a full crown or as a partial crown, called an onlay. Cerec Omnicam is a type of machine that uses a CAD/CAM technology to make getting a crown far more convenient than typically possible.
GETTING A CROWN WITH CEREC
The procedure for placement of a Cerec restoration is very simple. The first step is to remove all decay from the tooth. The doctor will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital picture. Once this image is captured, the tooth will appear as a 3D model on the computer screen. This allows the doctor to design the restoration right in front of you. Once the design is completed, the Cerec will mill the restoration. You can actually watch this process if you would like. When the restoration is finished milling, the doctor will place the restoration. The entire process should take just over an hour.
RESTORE YOUR SMILE WITH DENTAL CROWNS!
Typcially a dentist will have to prepare a tooth for a crown then prepare a model of the mouth to send off to a lab where the crown will then be made and sent back to the dental office. After that the dentist will place the crown onto the tooth and hope that both the color and shape of the crown fit and look good. This is not the case with CEREC crowns. Single-visit dentistry with CEREC gives Advantage Dental complete control over every restoration we make. At Advantage Dental we don't have to worry if your crown will fit properly, or if the shade will match when it gets back from the lab. We can do it all in office in one visit saving you the one thing in life we all need more of, time.
